Mini Max Portable & Collapsible Stool (Black)

It broke but I fixed it. I went to go step on it and I stumbled and ended up kicking the side in. The structure is fitted together with Lego-like pieces. Well, a bunch of them came apart so I took it apart and put it back together. It's not hard to fix it and I did it in 15 minutes. You start by using a flathead screwdriver to remove the topcap holding the spring. Then look at the pieces that came apart colsely. They have numbers stamped into them from 1 to 12. Snap them back together according to the stamped number because they are different in dimensions according to the numbers. Once you get to level one you have to make the two holes where you put your thumb and index finger on the top and bottom are 90 degrees apart or else it won't collapse all the way. There are also two magnets that hold the unit in the collapsed orientation so they have to be aligned. If any of the platstic pieces are cracked then you have to contact the maker and buy a replacement in the exact size (1-12). It's a shame to see so many people throwing these stools away instead of fixing them because it's not hard to put them back together. Although I love this stool I am afraid to stand on it like I used to and will only sit on it from now on. Also make sure never to use this on uneven ground or lean back and forth too much. I'm giving it 3-Stars because I use it a lot and find it a necessary tool for my work but I wish it was assembled with pieces that don't snap together and was more durable. I would give it 5-Stars if was more robust.

These are easy to store and carry and setup but most suprisingly they handle my wieght(200ish) very good,I was concerned they would not but they do quite well

I haven't used the stool outside yet but I found that the velcro tape wasn't sewed on right. had to do it myself.

Sturdy, simple to open and simple to close. Also, easy sit down on and get up from. Have not 'field tested' yet, but it made it through my Grand Children testing it! Truth be told that its better than a field test! I volunteer at the local Zoo and carry camera equipment with me. This should be easy to bring along.

I bought two of these a couple years ago and the collapse on you or break apart. The only thing I have ever see like this is a collapsible cup for water and id was made in America and worked. I don't care were it is made it is not made to sit on, maybe a paper flower stand. Danger do not buy.

I use this stool on occasion, either when using a tripod or when doing handheld shots near the ground. It is light in weight, though depending on how much other equipment I'm carrying, it can be a bit on the bulky side.
