Hawke optimized the 2-8x36 XB30 Compact Crossbow Riflescope and its XB30 Compact SR reticle for use with crossbows that produce speeds from 250 to 475 feet per second. The reticle is located in the second focal plane and offers four hollow posts and an illuminated crosshair with ballistic stadia for a 100-yard maximum range and winds from 10 to 20 mph. It is also factory set to be parallax-free at 50 yards. For clarity and brightness of images, the optical system is outfitted with 14-layer fully multi-coated lenses and a 36mm objective. The housing has a 30mm single-piece maintube, fast-focus eyepiece, and capped low-profile windage and elevation turrets. The entire construction is water and fogproof for protection against environmental conditions. Also included are one CR2032 battery for powering the reticle and two durable aluminum flip-up lens caps for protecting the optics.
