An optional time-saving part of the modular Astro T-2 system, the Alpine Astronomical Baader T-2 Quick Change Ring is the companion piece to their Quick Changer that allows you to set up and switch equipment without having to screw in or unscrew components. This saves time and avoids possibly cross-threading and ruining your gear. One side has standard T-2 male threads to be compatible with T-2 system components like camera adapters and extension tubes and a Zeiss micro bayonet for compatible cameras, and a dovetail on the other end that fits and locks into the Quick Changer. When properly seated into the Quick Changer, a simple thumbscrew locks it securely and firmly in place.
