Capture night-sky images through thin clouds and photograph stars during the day with the ASI991MM Pro Cooled Monochrome SWIR Astronomy Camera from ZWO. The shortwave infrared sensor captures details in the night sky that are invisible or have limited visibility to traditional CMOS cameras, and it lends itself to photometric measurement, optical communication, and other fields. Equipped with a Sony IMX991 monochrome CMOS sensor, the camera achieves 656 x 520 resolution with low read noise and no amp glow. The two-stage thermoelectric cooler lowers the sensor temperature by 95° F below ambient, dramatically reducing dark current noise for a clean image even with very long exposures.
