Purpose Built
- Engineered specifically to work with RASA s fast f/2 optics
- Fits into the 8 RASA s integrated filter mount
- To install, remove the OTA s clear window and replace it with the filter-optical performance for the entire system is maintained
- No adapter is needed for installation
Selective Filtration
- 85% or higher transmission at 486nm, 496nm/501nm, and 656nm wavelengths, less than 0.5% of all other wavelengths
- Transmits only the Hydrogen-alpha, Hydrogen-beta, and Oxygen-III wavelengths from emission nebulae to enhance contrast
- Will not dim the nebulae, it only makes the background blacker
- Selectively blocks wavelengths of light-polluted skies and natural sky glow
- Eliminates the effect of light pollution while letting the good wavelengths of light associated with emission nebulae pass through to the camera
- Each filter comes with its own spectral transmission graph that verifies its performance
- Not recommended for use on broadband emission objects such as galaxies and star clusters.
