The Tele Vue Nagler Type-5 31mm Eyepiece utilizes an unconventional 6-element/4-group lens configuration to maintain the sharp contrast demanded by users, while maintaining the series` signature wide apparent angle of view. Users of fast Newtonian or Dobsonian reflector OTAs will enjoy the generous true field with virtually zero secondary shadowing.

Built to Tele Vue`s exacting standards, the Type-5 features anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics to improve brightness, color rendition, and contrast; and a fold-down rubber eyecup that helps to block stray peripheral light from interfering with the views and to further enhance contrast. Despite its long focal length, the optical properties allow it to maintain an impressive 82° wide apparent field of view, and a long 19mm eye relief that provides ample space between the lens and eye to prevent accidental contact that can interfere with views. This model has a large 2" barrel diameter to make it even more comfortable to view through, and a textured rubberized grip for sure handling.
