The Losmandy Right Ascension Extension Kit is used to allow an unimpeded Meridian flip on G11 EQ mounts by adding 1.5 (38.1mm) to the Declination axis assembly and raising the saddle plate by 0.6 (15.2mm). The extra clearance allows the mount s Right Ascension axis to rotate through the Meridian without hitting the motor assemblies.

This kit also gives users the ability to easily remove the Declination axis from the mount using a dovetail bracket on the extension plates that are held in-place with dual thumbscrews. Being able to dismantle the Declination axis from the mount allows users to break down the G11 into lighter more manageable pieces during transport.
