The Sky-Watcher EQ6-R GoTo EQ Telescope Mount Head helps enhance your astrophotography with smooth motorized tracking necessary for capturing striking images of the stars and planets. The mount head is equipped with a built-in ST4 autoguider port so you can control the mount from your computer and take advantage of advanced astronomy software. The smooth 1.8° stepper motor, driven at 64 microsteps, provides up to 1 arcminute accuracy. Sky-Watcher s SynScan hand controller has a database of more than 42,000 objects, and can be connected to a computer with the included RS-232 cable to allow control using most astronomy programs. The built-in polar finder scope employs a circular grid for the northern hemisphere, and the constellation Octans is built into the reticle for users in the southern hemisphere. The mount can be polar-aligned via SynScan in the event Polaris isn t clearly visible. For convenience in transport and storage, the mount head s counterweight bar is retractable.
