When shooting a solar eclipse, even the lowest ISOs and fastest shutter speeds result in overexposed, blown-out images, and this filter is specifically designed to eliminate this. The filter fits into the standard 100x100mm-series holder. The solar eclipse filter is designed solely for solar and solar eclipse photography. It is not suitable for general long-exposure landscape photography, or for direct solar viewing with the naked eye.
