Bescor DRE19XAC Battery Coupler with 4-Pin Male XLR and PSA-124 Power Supply

The camera detects it as a foreign (non-Canon) battery source. You have to go past the two initial warning screens to get it to work. Once this is done it works normally. I am using it for powering my DSLR while teaching Zoom classes where there is a long time that the camera is on during the class. It lasts just fine with no interruptions for the two one hour classes each night. Before this I would have to charge two batteries, one for each class. There is one thing that worries me about it and that is the way that the cord has no support going into the battery cartridge. You would think that the manufacturer would provide a grommet or something like it to take the weight of the cord and plug that is attached. This will become a wear point and may lead to a short life for what otherwise is a good product.
