Nikon MB-N11 Power Battery Pack with Vertical Grip

I've always been a Grip Guy, so I knew I had to have the MB-N11 when I purchased the Nikon Z7II. It works perfectly. It's light weight and the controls make shooting vertically a breeze. If you're a grip guy like me, get this one to add to your collection. Get beyond the cost and look at it as a means for better photography. I love mine.

Love this battery pack and vertical grip. Having the extra battery is great for long shoots and having the vertical grip makes shooting so much easier. In the past for other Nikons, I have purchased a third-party battery pack and grip, but they always had some sort of issue. I'm glad that I went with the Nikon. I wish Nikon would bundle the grips with the Z6-Z8 camera series.

A bit on the pricey side but worth the innovation. You can now replace both batteries without unscrewing the grip entirely, a welcomed change. It works well and feels well built. It will stay on my Z camera because these mirrorless cameras are too small for me to hold properly without a grip.

I find that the MB-N11 nicely balances the Z6ii with my 24-120 f4 lens. Without this battery pack my right hand little finger is not in a position to grip the body/lens combination. That caused me to largely try to hold the body with only two fingers while keeping my index finger free to operate the controls. With that much weight and torque, I found a two finger grip very uncomfortable. This battery pack solves the problem. It also adds the same balanced feel while holding the camera in portrait orientation.

The MB-N11 creates a win-win situation for me. When I make horizontal shots, I find the edge of the 'N11 rests on the heel of my left hand as I hold a lens, adding more stability than I feel when I shoot without the grip. The same effect occurs when I shoot vertically with the grip because I am not trying to curl my right hand around the shutter release side of the camera when I shoot overhanded or bend my right wrist when I shoot underhanded as I would without a grip. I attribute these improvements to the deep-well recess of the vertical grip. Replacing both batteries with the 'N11 is easier than swapping cells in the D800 body/grip configuration, but not as convenient as with the D200 grip. Although the 'N11 with two batteries adds more bulk and weight, overall the camera and grip are lighter than previous systems I have used. The lighter build and improved ergonomics put the MB-N11 in first place among the three grips I have used.

Ver nice grip! I expected that since it is from Nikon. Unfortunately You spend some ...... since it is Nikon. Nikon should have designed it like the previous grips. I don't like how the door slides to the side to open up. All provisos grips were deigned better. A must have for your camera !!
