Nikon MB-N12 Power Battery Pack

It shows Nikon quality and will probably work great once I get a camera to try it out on.Z8 is still backordered as of this date.

Ok so this grip - it's an odd one. I'll do my best to summarize below. The Good - Does the job, fits / feels great and secure on the Z8, and it's €50 less than the Z6II / 7II MB-N11 grip. The Bad - Plastic control dials. This is my only real disappointment, and the reason for the -1 star. I was told prior to purchasing that the control dials are rubber, like the dials on the Z8 (see my question / comments in the Q&A section here). I can tell you they are not - they are hard plastic. They rotate smoothly and feel ok, but rubber dials are just a much better tactile experience. The Ugly - The least of my concerns, but aesthetically the MB-N12 doesn't do the Z8 any favors. Strange design. It's not as wide as the Z8, so the left side of the body oddly hangs over the grip's battery door a little. The back of the grip is slightly pushed forward / under the body too. The Z8 with this grip is also huge (significantly taller than the Z9, and the grip'd Z6II / 7II). The setup / fit looks awkward in general. For me, a vertical grip is a must-have on at least one body. I'm keeping the MB-N12 but will likely sell it once I add a Z9 in the future, as I don't need two grip'd bodies. Like I said it works great, glad I have it, I just wish the dials were rubber like the Z8's dials.
