Pawa LP-E6 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1600mAh)

I do a lot of still images as well as video in my studio every day. This take a lot of battery power and my older Canon batteries are starting to reach the end of their usable life. I bought a pair of these batteries to replace others that were failing and so far they are working well. They took a charge quickly and seem to be holding their own while in use. No issues and these were really a money saver.

I bought this as a backup for my Canon R6 because the Canon bats are about 80 bucks each. I personally haven't any issues with it but have only used it for about a month. Way I see it, is I could buy 4 of these for the price of one Canon so unless it somehow destroys my camera or footage I think it's a good choice.

I've bought this set a couple of times, once in Jan. 2019 and again in June 2020. I regularly use both sets in 5D Mark III, 5D Mark IV, and 7D Mark II bodies, all with grips attached. I almost always have WiFi and GPS turned off in my camera bodies, and don't do much chimping once I've got everything set up the way I want. Since I always shoot raw, I normally have things like in-body lens correction and other processing intensive options turned off when shooting. The first set at just over three years of use is showing the first noticeable signs of reduced capacity, but they're still giving me 75-80% as many frames per battery as when they were new. With the 7D Mark II and the newest set in the grip, I can shoot close to 3000 frames over 6-8 hours, mostly in burst mode while shooting sports, and still have 20-30% left in both batteries when I'm done. I never shoot that many frames in one day with the 5D bodies, but I can shoot 400-500 frames in either of them and still have 75-80% left in the two batteries in the grips. I use the grips mainly because the worn out rotator cuff in my right shoulder makes it a lot easier to use the set of vertical controls than to use the main controls over the top when shooting in portrait mode. I've noticed that the Pawa charger seems to put a slightly higher charge in my batteries than the Canon LC-E6 chargers that came with my cameras. This includes a genuine Canon LP-E6 (made in 2015) and LP-E6N (2018). All of my older Canon OEM batteries no longer hold enough of a charge to keep them in my regular rotation. These Pawa batteries will also charge in every Canon LC-E6 charger I've tried them in, though the newest LC-E6 that came with the 2018 battery is still in the box the camera they were included with came in.

I received these batteries in a bundle when I bought an 80D from . These batteries have lasted over 2 years now where the OEM battery that came with the 80D has already malfunctioned and died. I have been using these batteries in my R6 and shoot youth hockey. I can easily shoot 2 games (about 600-700 large RAW files) before I have to swap batteries. I also get a green light in high speed continuous shooting (mechanical shutter) indicating 12 fps with these aftermarket batteries.

I used this battery for my Edelkrone camera slider. So far so good! I charge it with my Canon Lpe-6 battery charger, works great, and I paid only 16 for the battery.
