Watson AA NiMH Rechargeable Batteries (2500mAh, 1.2V, 4-Pack)

Our church has bought numerous Watson batteries over the years. They were only used in our wireless microphones that has low drain on them. On the last two orders, The first batch of 20 in 2019, 4 were dead and would not charge. They are advertised for at least 500 charges. I have less than 100 charges of theses and at least 10 of these are now are not usable leaving me with 6 that work ok. They also get very hot to where the label melts/shrinks off during charging. The last batch of 20 from March, over half of the batteries were DOA and would not take charge. They must have been shorted internally and had 0 Volts. The ones that would take charge would die within a few days of sitting on the shelf. These are also melting the label off. So I will never buy this brand again. Note, I do not mix match batteries and have only used the Watson chargers. An older model charger would show a defective battery and a newer one would charge it.
