Nikon Z6 II Mirrorless Camera with 28-75mm f/2.8 Lens and Raw Recording Kit

I did a lot of research before I made my choice for this kit. After shooting it for five months, I have a great set up. If I would have waited a little bit longer, I think I would have purchased the Z 28-400 to get a better reach.

i have waited to write this review until I fully tested the Z6II. i like the smaller size, especially for travelling and just purchased the new Z 28-400 lens. i needed a smaller camera for international travel. using the 24-200mm lens worked really well for landscape photos and portraits. the camera is fast and durable as i was rained upon in South America. I took my sigma 100-400mm lens for my bird photography and they worked well together. looking forward to using the new lens on the next trip

Ok, this is an early review. I haven't clicked the shutter very many times on this camera.I upgraded from a Nikon D5300, a half-size sensor, to the Z6 II with a full-size sensor. I love the increased sensitivity.The camera is pretty compact and doesn't have a built-in flash. With the increased light sensitivity I might not miss it.The controls are different, and in different locations from the D5300. While they're certainly laid out reasonably it'll take a while for my fingers to learn the new lay out. And the touch screen! I don't naturally think of controlling camera setting with a touch screen. That was several minutes of frustration trying to change an aperture setting. Not the camera's fault, just an old guy ranting about having to learn new tricks.The user manual that came in the box is very basic. I suppose there's plenty of on-line videos to help out. Perhaps if Nikon put a little more into the user manual I might not have been so frustrated with the aperture setting.Enough ranting. It's a great camera and I'm very happy that I upgraded. I'm sure that I'll get familiar with the controls with a bit more usage.

I had to upgrade from my Z5 and this camera is way better. The autofocus I find that works well especially with the two processor. In low lights it works superb. I have this camera with the 40 mm F2 and 24 - 200 mm lens. The battery I find that's is very good, was able to take over 1000 photos in a 10k running event and am very happy with how it perform. Also the video performance has surprise me, really nice quality image.If you looking to enter the mirrorless cameras, I highly recommend this model.

The Z6II is a good little camera for the money. Small enough to fit in any bag. I used with F-mount lenses and Z-mount. Video capability and photos are easy to use. The auto focus works well, as long as the camera has time to focus. Fast birds in flight, it struggles a little bit to find the bird. You have to be patient with it. The results are pleasing to the eye. Battery life was good overall and easy to charge in camera. If you take your time with the z6II it will give you good results.David
