Sony a7C II Mirrorless Camera with 28-60mm Lens and Accessories Kit (Silver)

So far this camera is fantastic. It's small but fits in the hand well. Takes great pics. Haven't tested out video but that's coming.

Do you love to travel? The compact form factor of the Sony a7C II is a great travel companion that delivers high quality results with fast auto focus, great low light performance and nice ergonomics. As a former owner of the a7 IV, you will feel right at home for most functions of this camera. The missing joystick and second card slot are certainly missed, however, the touch screen works pretty well in place of the joystick. This body works great with light lenses and it's easy to pack. It actually brings more joy to head out and take images on your next adventure!

I have purchased this camera after having purchased the A7c. For travel, I bring both cameras with the 28-60 f4 lens and 40mm f2.5 for the street. Image quality exceptional, autofocus pinpoint and accurate. I sold my Leica ME 240 to purchase this camera and am so glad I did. The Leica was slow, clunky, and not a good street camera. The Leica lenses that I have give me better images on this camera imho than the Leica. Finally, I own the Fuji x100v which I had preordered when it was released and enjoyed it and then preordered the Fuji x100vi. After comparing images and autofocus capabilities with the x100v and realizing the Sony a7cii with the 40mm f2.5 is only 6 ounces heavier and had much superior iq I was so happy that was unable to fill my order at the time. I shot Leica film for years, Nikon and Fuji digital, Canon digital, and this is my favorite camera of all time including film

In 2015, I was an early adopter of mirrorless cameras, switching from a canon setup to the first Sony a7. However these cameras became larger and larger with each successive generation, defeating one of my primary reasons for changing to mirrorless. I tried the Fuji XT3 and while I loved Fuji colors, I missed the full frame sensor. I bought the Sony a7C2 for a trip to Italy and it did not disappoint! With the small kit tens, it was a wonderful camera to carry while traveling and it produced some beautiful images. I have larger and better lenses at home, but that little kit lens held up just fine for my casual shooting needs. I bought an eye cup that attaches to the hotshoe which makes the small viewfinder nicer to use. I am loving this small powerhouse of a camera!

This camera is a backup to my Sony A1. I wanted something smaller for my travels, something that I would still feel confident with on my Retirement Travel Adventures. Yes, it's more compact; and because of the compact ergonomics, it has a smaller viewfinder that takes some time to get used to, only one SD card slot, and the buttons are small, which is to be expected, but I would like them to protrude out just a little more. The grip could be like the A6700, but it works for me as I have small hands. However, the reason I purchased this camera is the new Auto Focus system. It is fast , it amazes me with its accuracy, even in very low light, even when I have it set to a different Recognition Subject setting, it still just focuses without any hiccups. My A1 is a fantastic camera and I love the ergonomics of it, but the Auto Focus in the A7C2 makes up for the small compact form factor.James

Upgrading from the Sony a7 III to the a7C II has been fantastic. The a7C II offers full-frame quality in a more compact and portable body, perfect for street photography and everyday carry. The improved autofocus and color science are impressive, and the 4K 60p video with 4:2:2 10-bit recording is exceptional. The 33 MP resolution is a great middle ground, providing ample detail without overwhelming file sizes. However, I would love to see improvements in the EVF, as the resolution is still too low and the size too small compared to the a7 III. Despite that, it's not a big deal, and this camera perfectly blends portability with advanced features, enhancing my shooting experience significantly.
