Kodak Ektar H35N Half-Frame Film Camera (Striped Black)

First, I think this is a great intro to film photography, and so a great new device. For small prints and screen size scans, I think this is a good thing. Now for some important observations as a former, film shooting professional product, portrait, and fashion photographer: 1. Using Google and Duck Duck Go, I could not find a lab in the U.S. that scans and/or prints half frame, 35mm. I found Harmon Labs in the U.K. only. 2. The new lens looks like a very fine improvement. 3. Although a matter of taste, the star filter's four point are more of a distraction than a good aesthetic enhancement. 3. Only Ilford black and white, XP2 Super film probably has the necessary latitude to shoot black and white film in bright light and get good results on a whole role (see sunny 16 rule), or by using a 50iso or developement adjusted 100iso film, because of only f11, f8, and 100th of a second shutter speed. Two or three features that I would gladly pay for: a. A filter thread that I could use to add variable and regular ND filters to better exposure control. Additional shutter speeds of 1/200th and 1/50th for low light, bright light, and low lights images on the same roll of film. 1/200th of second would be very useful to cut blur with moving objects too! Given the cost and/or time involved in processing film these days and given the limted latitude of all films, but especially slide, Ektar, and most black and white films besides the XP2 super mentioned above, IMO it is well worth paying double for a camera with these features. Further, not having these features makes it tough to mix various light levels on the same roll of film, which defeats the purpose of having so many images on the same roll, unless you shoot each roll under only one type of lighting, adjusting film stock, development, exposure, accordingly. Of course for blurry, wackey exposures, Lomo-type photography, I guess it is acceptable, but I myself look for the ability to get sharp, pretty good results under most prevalent lighting conditions. Lastly, I forgot to mention how great it is to have a tripod socket, a cable release connection, and bulb setting. Even adding the ability to attach a variable neutral density filter thread would go a long way with f11, f8, and 100th of a second. I will probably try and glue one on via adding threads or direct, if and when I find a scanning/print lab, since my darkroom days are long over...
