The Nikon AS-15 enables the connection of flash sync cords fitted with standard PC-type connector to the camera body via the built-in hot shoe. It is suitable for cameras that do not feature a PC-sync terminal it has a PC female socket upon its side, and you would attach a cord with a PC male end upon it just as if you were using a camera s PC female socket.
This does not provide high-voltage sync protection, and is not recommended for flash units that have more than 6v.
