On the back two 1/4 -20 threads at different angles and one 3/8 -16 thread are available for mounting lights and other accessories. To prevent damage, the clamp features a rubber coating and it has the ability to hold up to 2 lb of gear when attached to a light stand or 8 lb on a flat base.
