FUJIFILM WCL-X100 II Wide Conversion Lens (Black)

The 19mm Fujifilm WCL-X100 II provides the coveted 28mm equivalent focal length, while maintaining the beautiful sharpness of the 23mm f2.0 on the X100V. The difference between 23 and 19 millimeters may seem minuscule, but it equates to roughly 20% more viewing area. It's truly a game changer for X100V users. I have been very pleased with the image quality I'm seeing through the WCL. I have heard complaints that it makes a pocketable camera no longer pocketable, but I personally find this to be a moot point. I am only 5' 9" and about 165lbs with an athetic build, and no clothing of mine, not even the baggiest of jackets, comfortably accommodates the X100V in standard form. I have always carried my X100V in my Domke F-5XA for daily carry, and it works very well. With the added bulk of the WCL, it's a bit of a tighter fit inside, but with minor adjustments of the interior dividers, it's a non-issue. As for the 28mm equivalent focal length, just know that it really requires much closer interaction with subjects when compared to the 30mm equivalent focal length of the X100V's 23mm f2.0. For me personally, this has really only been impactful in street photography settings. It's requires me to be more evident to subjects, and one might argue that alters the setting a bit. If anything, it's pushed me to want to interact with people more, and that has personally been beneficial for me. As for quality, fit, and finish, as with all Fujifilm products I have used, the WCL-X100 II is among the finest of quality photography tools. If I must be extremely nit-picky, it seems to me that the silver finish may be ever so slightly different in tone and texture than the body of the X100V. It is hardly, if at all, noticeable to anyone that isn't looking for a difference. I believe it's because the finish of the X100F, during the time of which this conversion lens was developed, was slightly different to that of the X100V. All in all, this was 350 well spent! Bravo Fujifilm!

I always wished the X-100V was a 28mm equivalent rather than the 35. This converter does that with very pleasing results. While no where near pocketable it is still a small light camera. Maintains F2 aperture and picture quality is fine. Recommended.

The Fuji WCL is a great addition to my travel kit.and meets all my expectations. Sharp, easy to carry along and when combined with digital zoom offers two additional focal lengths, 41mm and 58mm full-frame equivalent. Very handy.

I thought about purchasing the WCL-X100 11 for a while as I found that the standard 35mm angle of view was at times a little restrictive in cramped quarters. With my 76th birthday approaching I decided an early birthday gift was in order and bought it. I am still testing it but from what I see already I will pretty much leave it on camera for most of my travel walkabouts. My wife and I like to travel from the USA to Wales and England, and at times we are in small buildings, quaint old cottages etc. and the extra width is just perfect. Don't hesitate, buy it.

If you have the x100v you need this, I looove the fixed lens do not get me wrong! but having the option to go wider is incredible. It does add some weight to the camera but not a lot. Oh, when using the flash it does create some shadow because of the extra length of the lens. Other than that, you get same quality as without it, glass is perfect.
