FotodioX Mount Adapter for Nikon F-Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera

This works for my NIKKOR 35mm F2.8 when shooting on a GH6. Infinity focus seems to work just fine. Seems well built and stays very strongly mounted to the lens.

I'm thrilled with the FotodioX and with members of the staff who helped me decide to purchase the adapter. I shot professionally with my Nikon F and 20, 55 macro and 105mm lenses from the mid 60's - mid 70's. When digital entered, I abandoned my Nikon for a Lumix GH-2, which satisfied my photographic needs. I bought the Lumix 45-150mm zoom, but I wanted the feel of my old lenses. I have several Fotodiox (and similar Fotasy) adapters so I guess I was bound to get one with a problem. This one had some rough machining around the little socket on the back where the locking pin goes. The camera (Pan. GX85) needs the lens release button fully released, which wouldn't happen. I got a small knife and scraped the little metal hairs from around the perimeter of the socket, and all is now well. Otherwise, you have to keep in mind that (a) no autofocus and (b) twice the effective focal length for 35mm FF lenses (your 50/1.4 becomes a 100/1.4). If that conversion and limitation works for you this is what you want for any Nikon lens with an aperture ring. Newer G and other lenses without the ring are always at the smallest aperture. For those get the adapter with the aperture ring built in (it's not ideal but it works.) You still get auto-exposure using A (aperture preferred) mode, you just have to set the aperture manually on the lens and you may need to open up to focus, then close down to shoot. Fit and finish are fine, except as noted, so I see no reason to spend more. Works with both my Nikkors and 3rd party lenses (and I have quite a few of both.)

I have been with the Nikon system for a while but recently I've needed more video capabilities for higher production and came across the Lumix G9 Which has help me do that and now I also have my favorite Nikon lens to pair with it it is such a great buy it brings me so much value and I believe it was worth every penny!
