Nomatic McKinnon Filter Case

I'm not a big fan of the square cases that fan out and this turned out to be just what I was looking for. The exterior is sturdy and protects the inside well. The interior is super functional and I like the extra pockets on the inner shell. I keep a few cleaning cloths in them!

This case is the perfect size to fit in either the zip pockets in both the everyday and travel bag as well as help fill in some space I have in my actual travel bag. The rigidity of the case lets me know that my filters will be secure whether I decide to put them in the zip pocket they're designed to fit in or the bottom of the bag under my packing cubes.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I invested quite a bit in my neutral density filters and this offers great protection!

This fits most filters and is great protection for bare filters. One problem it does not fit the fit the Polar Pro Peter McKinnon ND Edition 2 filters. It will fit if you remove all the caps for the filter. I could remove the caps for the filter to put in the case but in all honesty. I want to keep the caps on them to protect a .250 filter

This filter case is stupid expensive, but it is also the best I've found so far. I have two other wallet style cases where you drop the filters in from the top. The problem with that style is that it is almost impossible to grab the filter for use without touching the filter glass. This case uses sleeves which, even with 82mm filters, leave enough filter exposed that I can grab an edge without touching the glass. The case has no problem holding six 82mm filters in the three leaves, a 77-82mm adapter ring in the front cover pocket, and a Kase magnetic filter cap in the back cover pocket. It did not have enough depth to accommodate the thickness of my B+W variable ND filter. I also like the hard shell construction and the overall build quality. Besides price, the primary negative is that the zipper closure is not the smoothest operating. The zipper has to negotiate four fairly tight radius corners which doesn't help the ease of operation. I did apply some Yeti zipper lube which helped. Would have preferred some kind of latch system over the zipper, but the zipper does provide full protection along the perimeter of the case.

If you have lots of filters this is the best protection case you can get. It is slim enough that if you are a filter master, you can store 2-3 of these cases without taking up too much space. Also very pleased it has extra storage sleeves on the very front and back of the inside of the case. They payed attention to every little detail. Very happy with this product.

The case is functional, built well, looks good and above all, offers good protection in case of falls. It securely holds my 82mm VND filters in album style pockets. So far, I am only storing 2 filters so it doesn't feel bulky at all but I am sure it will once I have all the pockets full.
