Marumi Exus ND Filter Overview

The 82mm EXUS ND100000 Neutral Density Filter from Marumi is designed to enable shooting still or video images of the sun during a solar eclipse. It is the ideal filter to have on hand when shooting rare and dramatic solar events. It may also be used to shoot any similar subject that emits enormous amounts of light. This ND100000 filter increases density by an enormous 16.5 f-stops.

Made of premium-quality Schott B270i optical glass, this filter features multicoating on each optical surface to minimize flare and glare, optimizing light and color transmission. It also features an antistatic resistance coating that repels water, dust, oil, and fingerprints, making it ideal for use in harsh environments, yet easy to clean. The slim aluminum frame prevents vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses, and it has side knurling for easy gripping. It has 82mm front threads for attaching a lens cap or additional filter.

NOTE: This filter is designed specifically for photography applications. This filter is not suitable for direct solar viewing with the naked eye, including with optical viewfinders.
