The 62mm Nano-X Circular Polarizer plus Variable ND2-32 Filter from K& F Concept combines a circular polarizing filter and variable neutral density filter into one, creating an essential tool for landscape photographers. The circular polarizing filter feature helps reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a nonmetallic surface. The light from the sun becomes partially polarized due to reflecting off electrons in air molecules, causing the light to scatter into what appears as haze. A polarizing filter arranges and filters directionally polarized light, allowing for the absorption of much of this light. This results in a noticeable reduction of glare and reflections from nonmetallic surfaces and an increase in the saturation of skies and foliage. The variable neutral density filter component provides an adjustable light reduction of 1 to 5 stops. It darkens the entire image evenly, allowing a photograph to be made with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than usually required. Slowing the exposure time conveys blurred movement easily, creating a dynamic look for streams, waterfalls, landscapes, and more, while increasing the aperture provides finer control of depth of field.
