Simmod CF-VND-82-C Overview
The Variable ND Filter from Simmod is designed to mount onto lenses with 82mm front filter threads and provides a wider aperture and slower shutter speed. With an exposure reduction from 1.3 to 6 stops, the 0.4 to 1.8 density serves to darken the entire image. A side lever allows for easy rotation of the filter while an integrated exposure locking ring prevents accidental rotation and changes to density values. The filter is constructed from high-quality German Schott optical glass and features a 16-layer multi-resistance coating, which reduces reflection, ghosting, and lens flare, while being water-, oil-, and dust- resistant.
Due to the curvature of wide-angle lenses, vignetting will occur if used on wide-angle lenses from 14mm up to 19mm on full-frame cameras.
