The 82mm HD MkII Circular Polarizing Filter from Hoya eliminates unwanted reflections from nonmetallic surfaces such as water and glass, as well as light that is reflected off atmospheric moisture and pollution. It creates beautiful deep blue skies and saturates foliage when shooting landscapes. This HD filter uses high-transmission polarizing film to create images with enhanced contrast and clarity without affecting the overall color balance. It is made with high-transparency polarizing film that has 25% better light transmission than the standard polarizing film used in typical photographic filters, resulting in nearly 1/2 stop more light entering the lens while yielding the same polarization effect. This filter is made with a chemically reinforced optical glass that is up to four times stronger than regular glass. It features 16 layers of antireflective multicoating for optimal light and color transmission, and a resistance coating that repels water, oil, and stains. The slim aluminum frame design allows it to be used on wide-angle lenses without vignetting, and it features knurling on the top and sides for easy handling.
