easyCover Lens Oak Neoprene Cover for Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 VR Lens (Green Camouflage)

This item is poorly made. The sections are crookedly cut and look cheap. The section that covers the zoom lock has almost come apart at the cut out before it was even put on the lens. I'm going to have to repair it. The section at the base of the lens next to the camera won't stay in place, making it difficult to change lenses and a small bit of debris fell in to the camera. I was able to get it out. I removed that section of fabric from the lens. If I hadn't already discarded the packaging I would return it. Cheryl

Purchased this item May 2020 to provide some protection for my new 200-500 mm Nikon lens. The price seemed reasonable albeit a little high for what it was (pre-cut numbered pieces of neoprene). After purchasing this item, I can say for certain that it is overpriced. Like others have mentioned you could most likely make one for much less. Additionally, as others have mentioned the plastic covering over the M and M/A switch and VR switch is very annoying and makes it difficult if not impossible to switch on/off quickly. I ended up having to cut a hole in the plastic (see picture). Finally, I have only used the product for about a month and not heavily used by any means, and the neoprene fabric covering is already coming off in places and fraying at edges (see picture). Also, the end ring piece falls off and moves around a lot, as do some other pieces and the zoom collar piece is pretty much useless. Overall not terrible, does provide some shock/general protection but definitely not worth the price (should be half of what it is).

It's a neoprene cover for your lens. Does a good job for what it is. I cannot imagine the more expensive one does anything better. The piece that goes on your lens closest to the mount does not stay on because of the angel. Other than that, everything fit well. The lens collar piece worked good on my Kirk replacement collar.

there are 2 main problems: - the very end of the lens where it attaches to the camera is done as a steep cone, the piece that goes there doesn't stay in place and creates problem when you mount the lens; - the piece that goes on the extension works only with the lens fully extended, any focal length less than 500 you need to remove the cover.

Purchased this instead of the other brand to compare. Fit, gluing and sewing are top notch. Neoprene is unlined (on inside) so it doesn't slip around. I think the cover piece on the extending zoom part of the lens is mostly a waste. Easy Velcro on and off but I zoom too much to use it. The cover piece on the tripod foot is attached with double stick tape. I removed it after a couple days but it left easily removed residue. Not sure how easy it would be to remove after it set up for a few weeks. I had to glue the cover piece closest to the body to the lens to hold it in place (I used removable glue). Otherwise it slid off the lens (when not on body) due to taper of lens at mount. No instructions included so I had to visit manufacturer's web site to answer questions. About 1/3rd less expensive than their competitor but still overpriced. easyCover makes covers for a limited selection of lenses. Due to limited selection, I made my own covers for two other lenses for about .30 total.

Fits good really snug but it needs to be. No instructions but the pieces of the neoprene are numbered starting with the lens hood as # 1. It will give some protection . Nice product but little pricey
