it is not very useful. Ihave bought 5 years ago the same lens ring . but last order includes poor quality and it is not red.

Not really the best design, slides off the ring and look bit awkward, but it does protect the lense a specially at times when you hand is not the cleanest.

these rings come with no directions to put them on. They are very small and stiff. I'm not risking damaging my expensive lens trying to put on cheap rings.

I bought this because black cameras and lenses can get a bit boring. Looks pretty neat on my Sigma 50 1.4 Art Lens with the matching camo cover on my D850.

So after several years of hard shooting, the zoom ring on my Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 VC lens has gotten completely stretched out. And while I plan on having it serviced (still under warranty), that's going to have to wait until the end of the sports shooting season. I purchased a pair of these rings to see if they would keep the original zoom ring in place. I only needed one and it works great. First I'll say these are ridiculously tight, but they will fit over a 70-200 barrel. I recommend turning it inside-out and once stretched on, flipping it into place. Either that or get some popsicle sticks to use as soft shims to work it down. Once in place, this thing simply does not move or slip, and the tactile grip is such that I have no doubt it would work in the rain. Actually makes the zoom ring easier to find without looking, and does not interfere with the smooth action of the zoom.
