H&Y Filters REVORING 67-82mm Variable Adapter for 82mm Filters

The other reviews talking about how if you put any pressure on the blades from the side, such as when you're putting it up against the front of the lens to mount it to the lens, is true. At least for the unit I received, the blades do get jammed, though for me, only 2 or 3 are the main culprits. I was able to mostly get them unjammable with some WD-40 (I'm sure there's better stuff to use for something that touches lenses), but that is a pretty significant issue. At this point, it only happens once in 10 times, and when it works as advertised, it's the best and is exactly what I need--something that I can put on fast, take off pretty fast, and does not get knocked off my lens like the magnetic style adapters. It's true that the overall size is large, which makes sense, and it's not a problem for me. Tangentially, when I first encountered this product, I couldn't tell exactly what it was until I saw it in person. The same is true of H&Y's new Swift line of products, where there is one thing I'm trying to figure out, and none of the photos, videos, or verbiage, answers my question. This was my experience with the RevoRing. Specifically, I couldn't tell if the RevoRing mounted to the lens without screwing, which it does and does not. I've seen some people on YouTube explain that you need to unscrew a little, and then screw in to properly mount the RevoRing. However, I've also seen a couple of people show that you don't need to do that. It seems unclear what you're supposed to do, but I have found that I don't have to screw it in, which is exactly what I wanted.

Nowhere did it say this doesn't work on the Sigma 24-70 - but there is shocking vignetting at 24mm with this. Completely unusable. What a waste of my money.

I'm super into this. I use a lot of stepping rings, but I hate them. This makes my life easier and so I approve. Minor downsides not worth it losing a star over: 1. Once you connect it, it's strong enough to hold the weight of the camera, BUT it still spins a bit, which can freak you out sometimes. 2. This thing is giant, it can't even fit in the same case as my 82mm filters. It does come with its own sleeve so that helps.
