This extended working distance aids in adding light to close-up subjects and also helps keep a safe distant so not to disturb sensitive subjects.

The lens also has an apochromatic optical design that virtually eliminates color fringing throughout the focusing range for high clarity and color accuracy. The manual focus design helps to achieve precise focusing control and a removable rotating tripod collar is included for greater stability when working atop a tripod. Additionally, an LED is included to provide additional illumination on close-up subjects.
