TTArtisan 7.5mm f/2 Fisheye Lens (Canon RF)

This lens accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do. The quality is sharp, build is solid, and images are more than satisfactory for the price. It's a niche lens, but I find it necessary for my skate photography and tight quarters street photography with friends. Manual focus is a breeze as just about everything you'll ever shoot will fall within infinite. Only on a few occasions have I ever had to dial back the focus, and even then it was the slightest adjustment. If you need a fisheye, go for this one.

This lens is beautifully made and the price hits the sweet spot especially for an impulse buy. I've tested it and it is sharp at the center and when stopped down two or three stops, the edge definition is very good. I don't intend to use it on my Z50, at least not frequently but would use it mostly on my full-frame Z bodies. The lens cap is innovatively designed with a center removable screw-on cap to permit full circle images on my full-frame camera - HOWEVER, the lens cap itself fits very loosely on the lens and I had to use black electrical tape to fasten the cap onto the lens. Without, mere brushing against the cap would severe its connection to the lens. When shooting with it, it means that one NEEDS to constantly monitor to see that the lens cap is still attached to the lens because of two things, are replacement caps available? If so, at WHAT price? Second, the front element bulges out so some protection from finger prints (the lens accepts no filters) and scratches. The solution is very simple: The outside of the two-petal lens hood can be threaded. The inner surface of the lens hood can be internally threaded. Since there are only two petals on the hood, exercise caution when attaching the cap. This will make the lens perfect! Lastly, all the text are printed on, that's acceptable (hope it'll take years for the text to rub off) for even Zeiss lenses use printed text for aperture and shutter speeds AND their lenses are at least 20-40x more expensive than the TTArtisan fisheye lens.

Bought this to diversify the lenses I have in my small collection. Its a great first step into 'effect' lenses. The lack of autofocus and incredibly wide FOV makes it really hard to focus this on anything outside of macro views. I hoped this would have a bigger effect on landscapes but will most likely just use this sparingly to provide new perspectives.

-Great build quality -Really fun and unique look that's usually hard to achieve for APS-C cameras. -Make sure to shoot at f/5.6 or below unless you really want that blurry background for some reason. -Lens cap is kind of a mess but it isn't a fatal flaw by any means and is more of a nuissance than a real issue. Still protects the lens if you're careful. -Highly recommend, ESPECIALLY for the price. I would have bought this lens for €400+ if that's what it costed.

This does not make a full-circular image on a Sony full frame camera. It's cropped flat on the top and bottom. Other than that it seems to be a good lens

Much, much nicer than I could have hoped for. Works great on my Nikon Z6 II. Very nice all metal mount and very clever lens cap. With the new mirrorless cameras an all manual lens is not at all hard to use. If you stop down the viewfinder automatically gets brighter to compensate. The mount is all metal but you have to pay attention when you take the lens off as it fits just a little different than a Nikon Lens.
