Voigtlander Nokton 23mm f/1.2 Aspherical Lens for Nikon Z

My Fuji xf 3/2.0 is a good lens. I does the job. I wanted something better. I was afraid of the bulkiness of the 23/1.4 WR. I decided to give manual focus a try. And my father's camera was a Voigtlnder . It is love at first shutter release. I love the way it changes character at different apertures. I love the 3D effect, the color rendering...To me, it has no flaws. It has a tremendous personality that is terribly exciting to play with

I love this lens paired with my x-t5. I have/had other 23mm lenses and use them as my all subject lens, but this one is truly amazing. I use it mostly wide open but have done a few early morning shots at f/8 and f/11 and combined with the x-t5 Image stabilization, pictures were sharp and beautiful even hand holding at 1/4 of a second. This will be my everything lens, I just love it.

The the best lens in my collection Truly love it I'm considering to buy the 35mm f1.2 lens and the only reason keeping me from this is I already have the Zeiss 32mm g1.8 lens. The quality of this lens is a different level in Fuji lens line. The iq is great with warm nostalgic look. I strongly recommend this lens but please be advised this is all manual lens. If you need AF look for any other options available on market today.

Good lens if you do manual focus, lens has it's own character. Was very satisfied using it on my Fujifilm x-pro3, also has good lowlight performance. I like the short throw on the focus ring

This lens is sharp at every aperture, but it has more 'character' than some people might be comfortable with anywhere South of f2.2 or so. The already-thin depth of field is prone to a bit of spherical aberration so there's a hazy look, but fine details like text or the speckled texture of stationery remain discernible. I've seen some complaints on a certain popular photography forum about field curvature and issues with the focus scale which I haven't observed or been able to replicate, and I suspect my eyes are a lot younger than many of the users there so I'm one to talk. Stopped down past f2.8, this is possibly my sharpest lens, and in line with its more vintage styling, performance at f11 is spectacular and free of diffraction, making it great for zone focus or landscape or any other application where a lot of depth of field is crucial. These days it seems like everyone only cares about wide open performance! Close focus is a huge strength of this lens, especially having used the Fuji 23mm f2, which produces poor results up close even stopped down. Similar to the 16mm f1.4, it's practically a macro, making it an excellent walk-around lens. Manual focus and aperture ring feel confident and well-constructed. 46mm is a weird filter size (shares with your Nikon L35AF, I guess?) and I can't say I love the lens cap, which has these little wings on the tabs making it so it doesn't sit flat. At this point I'm nitpicking though. If you want a performant 23mm for Fuji (or Nikon), don't mind manual focus, and want something a little cheaper/smaller/less clinical than the Fujilux 23, this is the one. Makes me lust after the APO 35, which I've heard is even better.

I prefer a fully manual lens on my X-Pro3. I want a clickable aperture ring and a distance scale on the focus ring. This lens fits those requirements very well. I have both Fuji 23 mm lens (f/ 2 and f/1.4) and they are excellent lens, but manual focus on them is a focus-by-wire with no distance scale on the lens so I have no idea where the lens is focused without looking in the evf (or the display screen which defeats the purpose of the X-Pro3).

I shoot a lot of street photography and I specifically bought the Fuji X-T5 as a complement to my X100V that takes interchangeable lenses. I have an extensive collection of M42 glass that I use with an adapter, and I love shooting in manual focus, but I didn't have anything in the 35mm (equiv) range and I wanted to see the legendary Voigtlnder look. It's a solid lens with a buttery-smooth focus ring and an almost ASMR-worthy aperture click. I love that it sends EXIF data and the focus ring activates MF assist. But most of all I love the f/1.2 subject isolation and bokeh dropoff that 12 rounded blades provide. When using the X-H1's or X-T5's side-by-side EVF in SPLIT mode (which shows a small rangefinder-style window), combined with a lens that's best know for its Leica-mount lenses, it really does provide a vague sense that you're shooting with an M10. And the resulting images are amazing.

This is a lens I was really looking forward to using with my XPro3. It is very well built, and has a great feel to it. The problem is that when using the depth of field scale, it simply does not focus properly. I tested it in several scenarios (including settings for both pixel basis and film format basis within the camera's menu) and thought there may be a problem with my copy. But I discovered that this issue is well-documented online. I returned it for a refund. Disappointed that I could not use this beautiful lens in the way I intended.
