Designed solely for working within a 1:1 to 5:1-magnification range, this lens affords an impressively long working distance range of 3.9 to 10.7" . This extended working distance aids in adding light to close-up subjects and also helps keep a safe distant so not to disturb sensitive subjects.

The lens also has an apochromatic optical design that virtually eliminates color fringing throughout the focusing range for high clarity and color accuracy. The manual focus design helps to achieve precise focusing control and a removable rotating tripod collar is included for greater stability when working atop a tripod. Additionally, an LED is included to provide additional illumination on close-up subjects.

Short telephoto macro lens is designed for full-frame Pentax K-mount cameras but can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a 127.5mm equivalent focal length.
