FUJIFILM EVF-TL1 EVF Tilt Adapter

Like others, I'll grouse about the price. But once you resign yourself to it, this is really a terrific addition, and it was one of the reasons I opted for the 50S instead of the 50R. I'm only a few weeks into using it daily but I don't see any reason to ever take it off the camera. One thing that no one else has mentioned is that at the 45-degree-or-so angle, it allows one to brace elbows against sides when hand-holding. Any one should give this accessory serious consideration.

As other reviewers have stated, this adapter keeps your face and hands off the LED screen and allows for incredible rotation of the EVF. A must have!

Love being able to have adjustable viewfinder, however within one month it started to become loose. Now after a year it flops from left to right with just tilting the camera side to side. Great idea poor workmanship.

It took me a while to get over the price of this adapter, but after seeing so many users rave about it I gave it a try. Please permit me to rave! I love having this on my camera, and I'm using it all the time. I'm almost never holding the camera right up to my eye any longer -- typically looking down into a tilted EVF. It's especially great for shooting from a lower vantage point, which I love to do. The only nit is that it makes the EVF quite the protrusion so it takes some skill to get it packed into a bag that's already choking on the large GFX100 camera body. Just need to rotate/tilt the EVF to make it fit, depending on the bag. Don't be put off by the price -- it's well built and great to work with.

Expensive but worth every penny, it transforms the EVF into an adjustable cine type viewfinder on par with Red or Arri. For stills and video it facilitates easier shooting from low or awkward angles. I've spent the last few weeks filming wildlife in bright conditions with a 600mm lens. It's nice to not wreck my neck or knees trying to look into the viewfinder.

I purchased this quite some time ago and have been waiting to review it until I had used it extensively. I purchased this because I am very tall and have a disability. Squatting, leaning and bending constantly - especially on less than level terrain - poses a number of risks for me. My hope was that this would give me a little more flexibility in terms of viewing angles and for the most part I am pleased. The extension of the viewfinder is not actually very big. The angles it will go to (90 deg up/down, 45 deg in portrait mode) are quite useful. It mostly solved my problem - so I am giving it 4 stars from a functional perspective. As with everything else in the GFX system - this is a 5 star product from a build quality perspective. It is a very solid piece, has held up well to repeated use and continues to be smooth in all aspects of operation. Where I am disappointed is in the price. This is something I would happily pay 350 for. I would probably give it a 5 star value rating at 400. But at over 550 it earns a 3 star on value. Average out the 3 things I mentioned and you get a 4 star rating. If you need it like I do you will buy it and probably just accept it as a cost of doing business.

This little, and expensive gizmo, allows the viewfinder of the GFXs to tilt and swivel. With it, the viewfinder an be used at different angles which might not be convenient otherwise.
