Vello Long Rubber Eyepiece Upgrade for FUJIFILM X-T, X-H & GFX Series Cameras

I got tired of spending too much for a Fuji replacement eye cup. Their design is so complicated, that they are either breaking or coming off when taking it in and out of a tight bag. I switched over to the much cheaper Vello eyecup. I order a few at a time. They are usually in stock, and I carry extras in my bag when out shooting. They function exactly the same as Fuji's for half the price. As there is no name on either eyecup, they are indestinguishable from each other, and when it breaks or gets lost you don't lose so much, or have to wait for the original to be in stock. Highly recommended. I also have had many problems with Fuji's 126S batteries. All of mine, 4 or 5, have swelled and won't fit into the camera any more. I now use 3rd party batteries, which haven't had that problem.

Bought this eyepiece for my Fuji X-T1. It fit perfectly and seems to be very solidly attached. I'm very satisfied with the purchase.

I recently acquired an XH1. It came with no eyepiece. This was a perfect fit. This plus the CVR-XT3 kit and I now have a mint camera!

The eyepiece on my X-H1 broke and I ordered this Vello eyepiece hoping it would work as a replacement. It works great; it slide right on with no problems and works just like the original. So the X-T1 and X-T2 arent the only Fuji cameras it works with.

I seem to be hard on my camera's eye cups. It must be all the squeezing into and out of camera bags. The eye cups on my Nikon D750 used to just get lost. I would buy them in batches just to have a spare when needed. Now, my Fuji H1, not so much the Fuji X T2 (body and viewfinder is narrower), keeps getting not pulled off so much as getting ripped apart as I insert it into and out of my camera bag. And I don't put it in and out that much. And I use many different bags. The H1 body is thick, and the viewfinder protrudes out. The Fuji eye cup design is rather over complicated to me. It's rubber sandwiched between two thin pieces of plastic. With a lot of hooks and loops in between, that can easily become undone. I'm on my third or forth eye cup on my 5 month old Fuji H1 body. Fuji would replace them for me, but next time they will charge me. A replacement was not available in store, but now it is. I bought the Vello, an accessory brand I've used before, and It is just like the original Fuji, but for half the cost. It fits the X T1, T2 and H1 models. I can't tell the difference between it and the Fuji. Time will tell if it holds up any better or worse. If you too are rough on your eye cups, this is the way to go. It's like getting two for one.
