On the safety side, it features a rubberized non-slip surface, so a mounted camera does not move or twist. In addition, a D-ring attachment allows you to hand tighten the camera to the plate with no required tools for mounting. For camera stability, there is a spring-loaded registration pin that prevents a camcorder from moving while it s on the plate. This is particularly helpful when using the LM-700 s pan-and-tilt functions or positioning a camera in portrait orientation.
