The Base Plate for Canon EOS and R6 Mirrorless Cameras from Really Right Stuff is designed with anti-twist flanges to keep the mounted camera from twisting. Once the dovetail plate is on, quick release functionality has been added to the camera. This base plate is compatible with all Really Right Stuff clamps and most other Arca-type heads.
The CNC-machined 6061-T6 aluminum plate has a safety stop screw that prevents the plate from accidentally sliding out if a quick release is partially opened. The included hex key stores magnetically under the plate, and an option for an L-component is available that will fit the plate s modular design and make a custom-fit L-plate. This plate has been Type II black anodized, which makes it resistant to scuffs and scratches. Furthermore, the base plate has a laser-engraved center mark on the back to align it on a head.
