Really Right Stuff L-Plate Set for Select Sony Alpha a7 Series Cameras

These are really well made, and fit perfectly. It makes the small camera body a lot easier to handle. This also saved my camera from a drop off the tailgate of my truck. Barely a nick in the finish, and my camera was unharmed. QD attachment is a nice plus.

I can't express how much I enjoy not having to remove my L-Plate to replace a battery. I like how the plate is formed to the body of the camera and that you can move the battery cover to the plate. I am buying another for my other camera.

I own two of these RRS L-Plates for my Sony Alpha A7RIIIs. The plate adds ~1/2 inch to the base of the camera, enabling my pinky enough space to grip more securely. And the entire L-plate has been machined to securely fit the base and side of the A7RIII (it does not flex), with the edges having been smoothly rounded so as not to cut into one's skin. The vertical L-component/side plate enables easy access to all side doors and can be extended with attached hex key to enable the attachment of cables while shooting in portrait mode. Lastly, the L-plate comes with two QD swivel attachement holes, which I prefer to use over the 1/4-20 threaded mounting hole. Before buying this RRS plate, I bought the Sunwayfoto Custom L-bracket (#SUPSLA7R3A9 MFR #PSL-A7RIII) and a UURig L-bracket--both of which do the job but are uncomfortable to hold and offer less protection.

Must take the plate off the camera to change the battery. I've tried all the adjustments to line it up but it doesn't work. First problem with RRS product but at €200.00 there should be no problem!!!
