Compared to the foot originally supplied with the lens, the lower profile of this lightweight and durable replacement foot lends for better balance when mounted atop a tripod head. The lower profile also reduces flex and vibrations when in use. Furthermore, 1/4 -20 and 3/8 -16 sockets have been provided for tripod heads that do not have a compatible Arca-type clamp. Dual safety stops are included to prevent accidental sliding of the lens if a clamp is partially open.
