Robus Quick Release Clamp with Arca-Type Plate

The Robus Arca Swiss Quick Release Clamp feels very solid, all metal and features a spirit level. I like the fact that it is a large one, which gives me peace of mind with whatever device I want to use it with. The large locking knob also makes it comfortable to tighten. You can use it on everything, from mounting a camera or large tube lights. My tube light features a built in Arca Swiss plate BUT it doesn't come with an actual clamp. And this is when the Robus Arca Swiss Quick Release Clamp comes handy. It will accept the plate that comes built in my tube light, so it's very versatile. I don't need to rely only on the original plate that comes with the Robus. Ant plate can be used with it. I have attached pictures with this review. Another HUGE plus is that, at first, before I attempted to install it on a tripod and even a C-Stand's 3/8 thread, I thought it wouldn't work. But to let you know, the threads will not be in the way of the plate. Perfect clearance! (See pictures!) The plate also features safety stops, preventing your camera or anything else you install to accidentally slide off. Very happy with this item. .

I bought two of these on the Deal Zone special, just to have them around when I need one. They are superb. They're a little bigger than the rest of my clamps, but that just adds to the feeling of security. Top notch product.

The Robus QRLC-60 is the replacement for the QR plate that comes with the RTH-1050 Ballhead (Another solid product from Robus) The QRLC-60 is an Arca style clamp that works well with both my plates and my L-bracket. I keep my L-bracket on my camera almost all the time and when I need to switch to another camera that doesn't have the L-bracket, only a plate, the QRLC-60 makes the change super simple. Because I shoot in all weather conditions I love the rough texture of the release knob. It makes it very easy to grip to loosen and tighten. I've had this plate in -10 degrees in the Tetons for hours at a time as well as 100+ degrees in Moab Utah and it works perfectly every time. When I was in the Tetons I was worried that it was going to freeze up since there was a lot of frost built up on it but it didn't. It worked perfect. Comes with an easy to see bubble level so that you can make sure you camera is level without having to worry about if your tripod legs are level. Another great thing is that it has a threaded receiver that allows you to attach it to other camera holding systems that don't have ball heads. The 3/8 receiver works with most monopods, tripods and other camera holders. This makes it really nice if you're looking to cut down weight on a travel tripod system. I can't see a reason why you wouldn't want this if you're looking for a QR clamp. I want to be fully transparent and any of you can ask any questions you have and I'll be happy to answer them. I've been using Robus Tripods and Ballhead for about 2 years now. The Robus 5558 is my daily tripod with the RTH-1050 Ballhead. I would never write a review (good or bad) about a product unless it was something I use all the time and a product I stand behind. Bottom line is that I know and stand behind Robus products. Many of my friends have switched over to Robus products for their own needs after seeing how mine work so well. And now the QRLC-60 doesn't leave my tripod.. I honestly can't find anything about it that I don't like.

The Robus Quick Release Clamp replaced a similar one I had that bent when my tripod knocked over. Luckily, there wasn't a camera on it. The clamp is better than what I had. The locking knob is big so it's easy to open and close. The build-in level is a great feature. Not all clamps have them. And it fits on my InduroL3S Ballhead perfectly. And actually, I expected it to be more expensive. And as a bonus, customer service was excellent in helping me find one, too. A for them.
