LensCoat LegCoat Wraps 115 (Set of 3, Realtree MAX-5)

These were purchased in the 15 inch length for an FLM CP30 L4II tripod. The fit and build quality are great. The cushion is 4 to 6 mm thick and of medium density. They serve the purpose of protecting the legs during travel and carrying on a backpack. They feel good on the hands and on my shoulder. They are light and don't and much to the weight of the tripod. They are easy to install and remove. I will be getting another set for my FLM CP34 L4II in the appropriate size.

It does add comfort and protection. Seems to be well made. Deducted a star because it is fussy to put on tight enough. I managed to get one wrap on without rolling up the velcro on the outside edge (which creates an abrasive seam) but I had difficulty replicating the same result. Installation tips would have been helpful. I looked on the website for leg coats but couldn't find any tips. There were a few contained in various reviews.

If you are not interested in protecting your gear from the elements nick bumps breakage ect, then Lens coat is not for you. If you are not interested in looking like the professional you are then Lens coat is not for you. I am so glad that I have purchased their products. I have dropped or banged or in some cases even had rain and snow in the mix. Thanks to Lens coat, They have completely saved my gear as well as my pocket book and investment. Thank you lens coat for everything you have done. Even including adding great looks to my photographic stature. I am now a lens coat member for life.

I put these on my Manfrotto 055CXPro3. They work exactly as advertised. They are very well made and I expect that they will last at least as long as the tripod. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Also, a bit tricky to put on as the velcro is very very strong and once applied it is difficult to re-position. But the strength is also what makes them so durable.

I purchased these Forest Green Camo leg wraps to use on my Gitzo #GT2531LVL tripod. I have the Max 4 Camo one's on my Gitzo #GT2541LLVL tripod, and I wanted a different Camo pattern on the #GT2531LVL tripod so that I could tell them apart at a glance. I have reviewed LensCoat leg wraps many times in the past. I have LensCoat Camo leg wraps on all my multiple version's of my Gitzo carbon fiber tripods. (They are somewhat time consuming, and hard to put on properly with the seam's lining up straight.) They protect the upper legs section's from minor nick's ding's, they pad your shoulder, and they feel better in the winter, and much cooler in the summer then bare carbon fiber. They are rather expensive for what they actually are! But, they do serve a real purpose, and they work. And they certainly look far better then bare foam pipe insulation taped onto tripod legs! The piece of mind they give me with the minor nick ding protection they afford the upper leg section's of my expensive carbon fiber Gitzo tripod's, somewhat justifies the overpriced expense of them. Only you can determine if the expense is worth it to you?
