The Wimberley AK-100 Sidekick Adapter makes it possible for the Sidekick to be attached to a Really Right Stuff (RRS) head with the lever-style quick release mechanism. The adapter is necessary for these heads since the lever-style system is of a slightly different size than the standard Arca Swiss-type fitting used for the Sidekick mount. Traditional twist-knob clamps will work with the AK-100 as well. The AK-100 is only needed with Sidekicks that were made before June of 2018. Sidekicks made after do not require this plate.
