For my application, standing up or alternatively holding a gimbal this is perfect. No wobbling head. It's wide enough as a stand to not fall over when the phone is being articulated. The only issue I can foresee is that the Allen head screws which act as the leg pivot points may back out and lead to sloppiness, a Allen key is supplied with this, an idea may be to design a way to keep the Allen key somehow stored under one of the legs.
