K&F Concept Professional Carbon Fiber Tripod with Monopod & Ball Head (70")

1st time buying a KF. So far it's handled my heavy lens well. The legs appear really sturdy and the quality seems legit. Only 4 stars right now because I haven't had it very long and I want to see how it holds up after several months before I give a higher rating.

I based my decision by looking at the pictures, and on the brand's name having the word faith ! After trying this tripod with R5 + RF 85 f1.2, then also tried it with a Manfrotto macro sliding plate, because that is what I intend to use this tripod for, sadly, I can't have faith on this tripod. The legs bend out starting at the joints when fully extended, especially the bottom ones. I have just seen a video on amazon showing what I just experienced on a similar tripod that looks like the one I'm reviewing . I removed the bottom and second to the bottom legs to check how they are made. Surely enough, the locking mechanisms are made of cheap plastic with rubber around them. The joints only overlap about an inch, and they have very thin cheap feeling plastic sleeves. This product claims to have been made of 8 layers carbon fiber? I can say 6 layers of photocopy paper feels thicker. They make the pictures look like this product is very sturdy, well I give them credit for that, but my El-Cheapo 10 year old Dolica tripod legs feel sturdier when fully extended. The ballhead is ok, but every time I turn the locking nut, it makes a loud squeaking sound, and the movement is not fluid, it quickly loosens. At a sale price of €130, it's NOT WORTH IT! Maybe if it was priced at €65, then it is acceptable. Shall I keep this tripod, or return it? Comment below... and look at pictures I uploaded.

I was looking for a lightweight alternative to my reliable, but heavy Manfrotto 3021 legs that has been my daily driver for a long time. I took a chance on this tripod as it fit into my budget and is much lighter than my current setup. I wanted something that had reasonable height at least as good if not better than the 3021 and this is a couple of inches taller without extending the center column. The tripod is very light, and the hardware is good, if not great. The twist locks work well enough, but aren't as smooth as other tripods. This is about right for the price point, so I'm not complaining. The legs do appear to be carbon fiber, which was a concern for the price. They appear to be the real deal (not plastic with CF stickers or anything). So the legs are good. The ball head is OK and perfectly serviceable. The Arca Swiss plate works with my L-brackets and plates I already have. Unlike nicer ball heads there is not a separate tension adjust and lock but instead you just have a locking lever. Again, it works but I decided to swap out my Demon ball head from my previous tripod. It's taller and heavier than the included ball head, but the extra bit of weight was worth it. Overall this is a perfect combo for my usage which is supporting my cameras when shooting headshots and other studio situations using studio flash. It is steady enough for this work, but for the landscape photographer or other situations that require rock-solid support, I would look elsewhere. The tripod does have a hook at the bottom of the column for hanging weight so that can help, but the hook is a bit small. In the end I got what I was looking for and this is a great tripod when working within its limitations. The lighter load is great for carrying around the city to shoots at nearly half the weight of my previous tripod.

Seems fairly well built but is not as sturdy as I anticipated - definitely wouldn't trust it with anything close to it's advertised weight capacity of 33 lb. Probably should have shopped around more for a more robust tripod.
