MeFOTO RoadTrip S Travel Tripod (Carbon Fiber, Blue)

So far so good. It is very compact and much lighter than anything I own. What has impressed me most is how tight everything clamps down -- it does not budge! It barely fits in the side pocket of the Tenba Solstice Sling Bag 7L though. This setup should hopefully get me through the 4th of July. I am hoping everything goes well.Sue

This lightweight, little travel tripod does what it should. Solidly crafted and quite stable, for such a light, compact tripod, it is a beautiful, quality instrument. I needed a backpacking tripod that is smaller and lighter than my big, heavy-duty Bogen and I feel that I made the right choice. I've been downsizing the weight of my travel photo gear over the last decade and this tripod fits right into my plan. The tripod folds up into a very small and lightweight package, which is so easy to carry. The included carry sack is very well made and useful. Highly recommended!

Bought this travel tripod for a big trip next week. Been testing/practicing with it before I go. Nice and lightweight. Compact to fit into a carryon size suitcase. Sets up fairly quickly. Choice of colors is nice. While it is not as sturdy as my 'normal' tripod it is lighter and smaller. My normal tripod would have a hard time fitting in a normal suitcase never mind my carryon. Nice feature is to have a little bubble level on top before you attach the camera. I was pondering buying a travel tripod to take on the trip as I am going to be doing more waterfalls on this trip and want to use longer shutter speeds with ND filters. While pondering what to get this little tripod went on sale. Would be perfect if about two inches taller but it is a travel tripod and I am a tall guy. Trusted supplier, fast shipping.

Incredibly compact and easy to deploy with a quarter turn on the locks of the leg segment latches. It may be slightly too short at maximum height for some users, but I found it perfect for my uses. The inclusion of the spring hook at the base of the neck for weighting the tripod is a nice inclusion that I didn't expect at this price point. I haven't had a reason to use the multiple leg angles or the camera undermount feature, but, again, they're nice inclusions and could suit another photographer's needs.

Before I bought this MeFoto carbon fiber tripod, I owned an aluminum Manfrotto tripod. It probably weighs about 5 pounds and is about 28 when fully closed. It's now relegated as a holder for my portable home screen viewer. This MeFoto RoadTrip Travel Tripod has served all my needs. It's lightweight, compact, and most importantly I bring it with me instead of deciding whether I want to bring it on trips. It securely holds my camera and any lens I choose- telephoto or wide angle. For my purposes, I mainly shoot personal family photos, landscape, nature photography, and night shots. Without a tripod, I wouldn't be able to do any of these types of photographs. I didn't think that weight would be a problem for a tripod, I figure I'm strong enough to carry it. What's the difference between a 5 lb. tripod and a 2 or 3 lb. tripod? 2 pounds or so? It makes a huge difference when you're hiking on a hot day. I learned that when hiking at Yosemite. This MeFoto tripod was totally worth bringing to Yosemite. It's compact size is also super nice as it fits under a stroller or can be slung across my shoulder with the included carrying bag. Overall, I really like this tripod and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.Quang

I bought this tripod for a trip with limited space. It was a great tripod for travel. It didn't take up much space, was light to carry, was fast and easy to set up, and was sturdy enough for a crop sensor DSLR and medium sized lens.

Not as well made as other tripods. Rough operation of screw locks on legs, the threads are coarse and catch requiring force to move them, not a pleasant experience. Not that light for a carbon fiber tripod but it does the job.
