Vortex Switchback Overview
The Switchback Carbon Fiber Tripod with Ball Head from Vortex is a lightweight option for photographers who need a versatile tripod they can take on the go. Its carbon fiber construction supports up to 44 lb anywhere within its working height range of 5.8 to 65" while only weighing 4.6 lb. The three-section legs feature a twist lock design and semi-automatic angle stops with three angle positions. Included sets of rubber or steel spike feet can both be removed or used interchangeably. The lever-lock ball head features a bubble level, independent friction controls, and 360° panning, as well as an Arca-type quick-release plate and base that allow for easy removal and attachment of different gear. A detachable counterweight hook lets you hang a weight under the tripod for added stability.
