Nomatic LUMA Camera Pack (Black, 18L)

Love this bag. Lots of nice compartments and the different access points to get gear without having to open the whole bag is great. It's well designed and feels nice while wearing it. Not my first Nomatic product, wont be my last.

This bad is compact and fits perfectly. All of my gear, 2 bodies and 3 lenses fit along with flash, diffusers, etc. tripod straps to the back of the pack securely. I would definitely recommend getting this bag as an every day carry if you 9ve felt like 25L bags were too big. The bag is also firm and holds its own structure. Plenty of protection. Definitely satisfied.

I'm loving the compact ruggedness of the Nomatic case; I can carry my Z8, two other lenses, filters, straps, batteries, mounts and laptop in one very well protected package!

This bag is a sight to see, the color is stunning. Functionality is amazing, the dividers are sturdy, yet flexible. The bag is worth the above average price tag, I plan on getting the 12L sling at some point.

I have lost count of the number backpacks and slings I've tried in search of the perfect bag (there is none). I recently received my kick starter Shimoda Urban explore 20L then a few days later I ordered the Luma 18L for a bag to bag comparison. Like my 8L McKinnon sling the Luma manages to store way more than its size would indicate. While I Could load both backpacks with the following, Fuji xpro3 with a 16-80 lens, a 55-200mm, a 27mm and a 35mm lens plus batteries etc. The larger Shimoda has less space left for non-camera stuff than the McKinnon bag. I can fit a shirt, shorts and socks with plenty of room to spare in the Luma. I will say the Shimoda is more comfortable to wear. Thats not to say the Luma is bad, with the chest strap on its very comfortable my only real complaint with the bag is the straps, they tend to slide outward which puts extra pressure on my beat-up shoulder. A little re design would solve that problem. I will say that the fabric looks and feels great. On the first walk I got caught in a downpour and everything stayed nice and dry. I ordered the bag in Rust and its refreshing to have something besides black, thank you. The Velcro dividers are the best I've ever used. They have more flexibility for getting the right fit for your gear. I also like the fact that it doesn't fall over when you set it down. Between the Luma and the Shimoda I'm keeping the Luma. Both are great but the Luma's ability to defy physics with its ability to swallow large amounts of stuff into its diminutive body make this great bag a real winner.

Looks really nice and is very functional. Love the side access, which is perfectly shaped for a camera with lens. Dividers come out of the box in a very intuitive and handy layout. Two nitpicks: 1. The bottle compartment is too tight. I have a pretty standard HydroFlask and it doesn't fit without deliberate effort (and occasional swearing). 2. The shoulder straps are marginally too wide for me. I didn't know Peter McKinnon was that buff. Unlike the PeakDesign offering where the shoulder straps slightly swivel to adapt to your shoulders, these are fixed in place. So to prevent them sliding to the edges of my shoulders, I always need to have the chest strap engaged and the whole point for a stylish, small camera backpack for me (compared to the also stylish but big and heavy PeakDesign) was to wear it more casually. And truth be told, you're not cool if you strap your chest strap. So being a little less buff than Peter I feel like I'm forced to not look as cool as I could with this backpack ;-)

I love this pack. It 9s really lightweight but holds quite a bit. I am a petite 5 92 d woman and some of these packs are too long or wide. This pack has a small profile and fits me perfectly. I have a couple of Wandrd packs. I carry my Provke for work and love it but wanted something smaller for my Fuji XT5 for hiking with my dogs. I tried the Wandrd Prvke lite but it bothered my lower back. This pack is so much lighter. I highly recommend it. The shoulder straps were a little stiff at first but they wore in after a couple hikes. Thanks Peter McKinnon!
