Billingham Hadley Large Insert (Olive)

I had purchased a Filson Medium Rugged Twill Field Bag in blue from Filson with the intention of using it as my go to camera case. I was looking for a camera carry case that wouldnt look like a traditional camera bag and the Filson met my criteria. That was only half the battle as I needed a reliable, quality insert for the interior. Enter the Billingham Hadley Large Insert (Orange for visibility). The dimensions are near perfect with the Hadley insert being a touch on the too large side for my application (I would say if it were 2% smaller it would be a perfect fit, it was that close). I store either a Canon M50 or a Canon EOS R (not both, one or the other at a time) in the centre pocket with a pancake lens mounted on the camera and in the right side divider cavity I store an extra lens or two (plenty of height and width for nearly any lens I will use) and the other divider cavity is for the tripod, cleaning accessories, etc... The orange top flap is then folded over the top of the bag and left to hang outside of the Filson. When I close the Filson Flap, it presses the orange flap tightly closed giving a good seal against dust. When in use, the orange flap can easily be folded between the Hadley insert and the Filson bag thus tucked out of the way as seen in the attached photo. The Billingham insert came with 2 large vertical dividers (which allows you to create 3 distinct vertical pockets, see pics) and 2 small horizontal dividers (shelves). I do wish it came with one more horizontal divider as that would have been very useful for my configuration. I also bought the Hadley Pro insert in green for another project and for good measure I tried it in the same Filson bag. It was a bit better fit inside the Filson Med Field Bag in that there was several inches on top of the pad to store a light sweater, etc... inside the bag on top, however it is a smaller insert so some of my lenses wouldnt fit with the camera inside and the tripod I always carry. Plus the green (while very attractive) is difficult to see to the bottom vs the brighter orange. All in all, I quite enjoy this combination and am happy with my purchase. The Hadley seems to be very well made. I would buy it again.
