Kinesis Long Lens Foam Insert

The Kinesis Long Lens Foam Insert provides additional protection for wide-diameter telephoto lenses such as a 300mm f/2.8 to a 500mm f/4.0 that are stored facing downward within any Kinesis L-Series case. Three hook-and-loop fasteners on the outer surface of the insert keep it firmly attached to the bottom of the L-Series case it is placed in. This helps to ensure that when removed from an L-Series case with the insert installed, a lens does not accidentally pull the insert out as well.
Constructed from 5/8 (16mm)-thick closed-cell foam covered with gray cloth, the insert not only provides additional shock protection to the contents of an L-Series case when set down on a hard surface, it can also stabilize a lens with a front diameter up to 6 (15cm) wide by reducing the diameter of the bottom half or third of the lens case.
