This sphere mounts directly to the bottom of your camera or onto an optional, sold separately ProMediaGear s bracket plate, PASL3 strap adapter, or PAH1 bracket plate adapter that mounts the sphere toward the rear of the camera for easy access to the Arca type bracket plate.
